Benign Indifference

One of the things told to you when growing up as a Christian is that God gives everything meaning. From your life as an individual to the vastness of the universe itself.

Since deconverting from Pentecostal Christianity to atheism, one thing I've been surprised about is that I find the universe even more incredible.

And I really like that the universe doesn't care about me.

Whatever happens, whether it be something amazing or something completely horrible, the universe doesn't care.

But I still care. And that's wonderful.
